"To plant trees is to give body and life to one's dreams of a better world."
-- Russell Page, landscape designer, UK

LRQA recently participated in the Plant-A-Tree programme, a collaboration between the Garden City Fund and the Singapore Environment Council in Singapore. The programme lets the public play a part in making Singapore a greener place to live in and in reducing the impact of climate change and global warming.
The event opening was marked by all participants, including Paul Phyall, LRQA Senior Vice President Asia and his children, assembling in Ang Mo Kio town park on a bright Sunday morning before getting down to digging and planting the trees. A total of ten trees were planted by the LRQA team and their family members.
The tree plantation drive was a perfect example of how organisations like LRQA can work in tandem with the government towards a greener, cleaner city. The event successfully imbibed a feeling of achievement and satisfaction in the hearts of the participants. LRQA’s participation in this event gave the employees and their children an opportunity to play a role in improving the environment for future generations and in increasing awareness about the problems associated with climate change.
